(1) Research Team
To effectively integrate opinions from the politics, academic, industry and civil society and propose suggestions to the government, the work of this think tank is divided according to the committees of the Legislative Yuan along with the highly concerned cross-strait issues. As such, it formed the 10 standing issue teams of cross-strait relations, internal affairs, diplomacy and national defense, economy, finance, education and culture, transportation, communication, constitution and judicial system, and social welfare, health environment. Each team has 1 convener and deputy convener. These teams will invite experts, scholars, legislators, industry representatives and other related professionals in carrying out regular and irregular in-depth discussions in accordance to the think tank’s research issues.
(2) Poll Center
The poll center of the think tank carries out regular survey of public opinions on the cross-strait relation, latest social issues, satisfaction on administrative implementations, the self-identity of Taiwanese people, and opinions on the future of Taiwan. Trends were tracked in the long-term to reflect the latest public opinion trend. Press conferences will be held after the aforementioned polls were completed and experts will be invited to analyze the results in order to explain the latest political and economic situation and public opinion trend.
(3) Research Department
(a) This department regularly publishes “TBT Monthly Publication” in order to provide analysis written on important domestic and oversea issues written by related scholars and think tank researchers and is distributed to government officials, civil servants and social leaders as references. Contents are also distributed to domestic and foreign scholars in Mandarin and English to present the perspectives and opinions of this think tank on certain social issues and social welfare policies.
(b) Topic policy descriptions, abstracts and suggestions: Topic policy analysis and explaining documents will be issued accordingly on urgent, controversial and complicated policy issues.
They will be analyzed and assessed in detail in order to serve as a reference and suggestions to the society.
(c) Publish policy analysis series reports and project researches:
The think tank will provide suggestions to the society by irregularly publishing policy analysis series reports and publish project research reports and books if needed.
(d) Irregularly hold seminars, symposiums, presentations, forums, public hearings and consulting conferences on public policies.
(e) Invite guests or corresponding researchers according to the research agenda and professional demand of the think tank to strengthen its research capacity.
